Katherine Harvey is a historian, writer and reviewer, specialising in medieval history. An honorary research fellow at Birkbeck, University of London, she teaches for both Birkbeck and the Open University, and her work has been published in academic journals and popular periodicals. She is the author of Episcopal Appointments in England, c1214-1344: From Episcopal Election to Papal Provision (2014) and The Fires of Lust: Sex in the Middle Ages (2021). She lives in London.
