Gabrielle Hecht is the Frank Stanton Foundation Professor of Nuclear Security at Stanford University, where she is affiliated with the Center for International Security and Cooperation, the Department of History and the Department of Anthropology. She is the author of several awardwinning books, including Being Nuclear: Africans and the Global Uranium Trade (2012). She lives in San Francisco.
