Francis E (‘Jack’) Putz is distinguished professor in the Department of Biology at the University of Florida. Author of hundreds of scientific papers on tropical forestry, ecology, and botany, his books include the coedited collection Ecology of Lianas (2014), Yaupon Wins: An Ethnobotanical Novella (2019), Finding Home in the Sandy Lands of the South (2015), and (as J.C. Moro) Borneo Dammed: A Very Family Affair.
