David Bakhurst is George Whalley Distinguished University Professor at Queen’s University, Canada, where he teaches philosophy. He is the author of Consciousness and Revolution in Soviet Philosophy (Cambridge University Press, 1991) and The Formation of Reason (Wiley Blackwell, 2011). He is a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, and executive editor of the Journal of Philosophy of Education, the journal of the Philosophy of Education Society, Great Britain.
