David B Feldman is the J Thomas and Kathleen L McCarthy Professor in the Department of Counseling Psychology at Santa Clara University in California. His research on how people maintain hope and meaning in the face of trauma, loss and setbacks has been published in top academic journals and featured in major media outlets. He has appeared on national television and radio, lectured for companies, universities and organisations around the world, and writes regularly for Psychology Today. He hosts the KPFA Radio programme About Health and the podcast Psychology in 10 Minutes, and has co-authored books including The End-of-Life Handbook (2007) and Supersurvivors: The Surprising Link Between Suffering and Success (2014).
