Brandon Kohrt is associate professor of psychiatry and behavioural sciences at George Washington University. His work addresses improving mental health services for populations affected by conflict, disasters and other humanitarian emergencies. He has focused on strategies to reduce stigma against people with mental illness around the world. He has consulted with the Carter Center Mental Health Program in Liberia and has been advisor to Transcultural Psychosocial Organization in Nepal. He co-edited the book Global Mental Health: Anthropological Perspectives (2016).
